Rogers Area Youth Wrestling will once again be participating in the Mississippi 8 Team Conference. Your child may have a great opportunity to represent the Rogers community by participating on the Travel Team. We had a great time last year and look forward to another rewarding year. It is a commitment, as we will be traveling to other schools during the month of January. The team consists of 15 weights. The coaches make the ultimate decision on who will wrestle for the team based on three points:
The criteria to determine who will wrestle for the travel team are as follows:
1. Must be at practice the week of the event (some exceptions with coaches permission).
2. Must be within 2 lb of wrestle off weight.
3. Must be able to wrestle in the year end tournament on Saturday, January 29, 2011 (Location TBD).
Having 8 dual meets this year we will encourage all wrestlers to take an opportunity to challenge themselves, enjoy the fun of a dual meet, represent Rogers, and be part of the team!!
